We here at Elephant Havens Wildlife Foundation in the Okavango Delta in Botswana, Africa started using SUCCEED® only last November with the two most recent rescued orphans, a young female approximately 1 year old and a young male under 6 months old. These young elephants were very fragile, fully traumatized, grieving and prone to many digestive issues, ulcers, diarrhea, blockage, bleeding and others. The young female was rescued in poor condition from a wastewater treatment area near Victoria Falls and the young male was rescued after its mother likely died from drought conditions. These two youngsters came in as bags of bones with the young female even needing assistance to get to her feet once down to sleep. We were not optimistic. Today these two are both out of quarantine (after only 2 weeks-a record short transition) and with the herd on the property, swimming, wallowing and enjoying their new family. They are positively ‘fluffy’. We have never had such a digestive symptom-free transition plus rapid weight recovery in our 4 years of operation. A genuine life saver, as we were not always able to reverse the digestive conditions once settled in. Genuine thanks from these special little creatures who now will one day return to the wild. I first started using SUCCEED after my horse had experienced repeated episodes of GI tract issues. It was important to give him every assistance to help break any cycle and restore stability. The horse wasn’t well and seemed to be feeling a bit fragile. My vet suggested for him to go on SUCCEED Digestive Conditioning Program, which we hoped would provide additional support. My husband is an equine performance medicine veterinarian. He is a big believer in SUCCEED, and I have been using it for quite some time now! I first used it on a horse that had stomach issues; I saw a huge difference and became a believer! SUCCEED has had a positive impact on my horses in every way possible. From anxiety, to energy levels, to cleaning up grain at every feeding, it has been very effective. For the last six years, I have trusted SUCCEED for my older horses that I am hauling to professional rodeos. After discovering the product thanks to fellow SUCCEED endorsee, Ron Ralls, I have never looked back because the results speak for themselves. After starting my initial horse, Dashing Jolene, on it, she no longer had a hard time maintaining a healthy weight after just a short two months on the product. Her haircoat looked tremendously shinier and healthier and she began to dapple out after starting SUCCEED. I knew she was getting healthier internally to look that good externally.
The entire lifestyle of barrel racing is really tough on our horses. We ask them for their lives every time we send them down the alley. After asking 110% every run, we are likely to load them back on the trailer and drive all night to the next one and expect them to be relaxed and easy-going when we get there. Their lives are very high stress, which puts a lot of strain on their gastric system.
There is a variety of ailments that can come with this kind of pressure-filled schedule, so it is critical to maintaining the integrity and health of their GI tract so they have long-lasting careers. With SUCCEED, I know that my horses are getting exactly what they need to be healthy from the inside out. For my older horses that are on the pro rodeo trail, I specifically use SUCCEED to keep the acidity down and neutralize their stomach, make sure they are getting all the vitamins and minerals that they need, and also make sure they are absorbing the nutrients from their alfalfa that they get. I would recommend SUCCEED for any horseman’s program. No matter the discipline, gastric care is vital to the longevity of horses.

Every time I would touch my mare’s belly she would kick. After just 60 days on SUCCEED, this is no longer a problem and she is much happier in general. Aside from her moodiness subsiding, another benefit I noticed was that she was able to maintain her weight more easily.
You can visually see the difference, which I love. My mare is more filled out than she has ever been and also more relaxed than ever before. I was so pleased with these results that I have since started my gelding on SUCCEED and have been just as pleased with the results. I am a firm believer in the change SUCCEED has made in my horses. I had heard about SUCCEED, but was really first introduced to it by my hauling partner who had used it for quite some time and I decided to give it a try. The first horse I used it on was my gelding I call Ray. He wasn’t a horse that just by looking at him you would think had digestive problems, but he showed other signs. While on the road, Ray would often go off his grain and water and also have loose stools, telling me there was a problem that needed to be addressed.
After starting Ray on SUCCEED, everyone noticed the difference in him. Even though he was always full and looked good, he just looked healthier on an entirely new level. He got dappled, shinier and filled out even more. People who knew him would stop and ask what I was doing differently because he looked so good. After seeing the changes in him, the last month I have started my other horses on it who I haul with me on the road to help keep their digestive functioning properly. The horses love it! Sometimes I will even top dress their grain with the paste since they seem to like it so much. The horses that usually leave their feed behind now clean up every drop when I use SUCCEED to top dress.

From roping horses to barrel horses, SUCCEED has worked wonders on our animals. Barbie was the first mare I tried it on and saw significant results in a very short amount of time. Before SUCCEED she was a very nervous horse to haul, which would result in her stools being loose. I always felt that she internalized her stress and had more going on than I knew, so I decided to give SUCCEED a try. After starting SUCCEED, the changes in her were evident — no more loose stools and much more calm while hauling. She also previously had a bad habit of chomping at the bit prior to SUCCEED and that is no longer an issue for her.
After seeing the results in Barbie, I began to use SUCCEED on two other horses. The first was a mare who had always had a bad attitude and would grit her teeth and pin her ears anytime someone was near. This same mare now wants attention when you are near her and has a much nicer demeanor. The gelding I started on it saw the quickest results. He had always been nervous in the roping box and had trouble maintaining his weight. After just a week and half on SUCCEED, he was already much calmer and scoring better in the box. In as little as 30 days his physical appearance began to change and he looked better than ever. I am a firm believer in SUCCEED and recommend it to almost everyone I know. It has made a positive change in all of my horses.

I started using SUCCEED in March of 2022 on a mare that I had surgery on. After less than a week I was noticing lots of changes. She was more relaxed in the gate to run barrels, standing at the trailer better, and actually warming up in the pen with other horses. I then put my other mare on it who did not like her belly brushed. Within two days she allowed me to brush her without threatening to bite me. I recently bought a 3 year old mare and as soon as I got her home, she went on it. She stands tied and her eye has softened tremendously!
