Jennie Brannigan Solved Her Top Eventer’s Traveling Issues With SUCCEED

Eventing rider Jennie Brannigan has been known as a good, up-and-coming rider. But her horses were constantly in need of digestive health support.

“I was based in California for a long time…that’s my home,” Jennie explains. “And California is just a tough climate for horses, especially in performance. There’s not a lot of turnout. And it seems like we had to drive ten hours to every event. That just challenges these horses so much, that digestive health is a common concern.”

This year, Jennie was seeing the effects of long-distance travel and competition on Cooper, her current top horse. “He would just get so challenged from those long trips. It would take some time once you got to an event for him to get ready to go.”

Then, Jennie was introduced to SUCCEED Digestive Conditioning Program through a USEA Gold Cup Sponsorship. “I had heard of SUCCEED before, and then I got to try it for myself.”

The results? “Awesome. Qualifying for Young Riders this year, we drove for two and a half days to one event, and Cooper just came off the trailer ready to show. Then we drove all the way to Colorado, and he won there. The difference SUCCEED made was just awesome.”

Now Cooper, a seven year old Dutch Warmblood Gelding, is making his move. “He’s now the leading Gold Cup horse, and we’re representing California in the 2008 Young Riders. He’s at the two-star level, ready to move up to Advanced.”

With SUCCEED, Jennie discovered that horses’ digestive tracts maintain a delicate balance that can easily be affected by the challenges of modern performance horse care. This includes travel, but also confinement in stalls, training, high grain diets and more. SUCCEED is a unique, daily nutrient program that maintains a healthy digestive system. And as Jennie now knows, digestive health can directly affect the horse’s appearance, temperament and performance.

So how does Jennie feel about digestive health issues now? “We’re traveling a lot this year, and SUCCEED is really making a difference. I can’t trade this for anything. I’ve got all of my horses on SUCCEED now.”

Without SUCCEED, I’m not sure our 5-year-old, homebred National Hunt racehorse Cloudy would still be here. That, or we would be drowning under vets bills whilst we tried to work out how we could help him.
