SUCCEED Presents Tommy Garland Clinic to Benefit Right Lead

Freedom Health, LLC, makers of SUCCEED® Digestive Conditioning Program®, has announced it will be hosting a special one-day clinic with renowned clinician, Tommy Garland. Proceeds from the clinic, which is being organized by the North Eastern Ohio Arabian Horse Association (NEOAHA), will benefit the Right Lead – “Kids Helping Horses Help Kids” – as well as youth members of the NEOAHA.

The clinic will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011, from 1 – 5 p.m. at Freedom Farm, the equestrian training, breeding, and research facility operated by Freedom Health, LLC, in Ravenna, Ohio. The public is welcome to audit the event. The fee is $10 for NEOAHA members; $15 for non-members.

Tommy Garland, a recipient of the 2009 United States Equestrian Federation’s Equestrian of Honor/Barbara Worth Oakford Award, hails from Powhatan, Virginia, where he and his wife Dawn operate Garland Farm. His innovative “CPR (Confidence, Patience, Respect) Horsemanship” approach to training has won praise across North America and beyond. Over the past 25 years, he has proven the success of his techniques with multiple National and International Championship titles in both Western Pleasure and Hunter Pleasure, with a variety of breeds of horses…and even mules and a Watusi steer. He premiered his RFD-TV television series, “CPR for the Horse and Rider” in 2006 and launched his Youth Tour in 2010, focusing on educating young riders in the principles of true horsemanship.

Right Lead is a 501(c) 3 non-profit program which provides experimental learning opportunities for at-risk youth, using horses that have been rescued from bad and uncertain futures. Founded by Tammy Rohrer-Collins, Right Lead uses equine-assisted therapy techniques to encourage self-esteem, teamwork, communication, trust, and responsibility in Ohio inner-city kids.

“I am thrilled that the NEOAHA and Freedom Health see the value in the concept of the Right Lead, and our continuous need for funding to keep the program running. The proof is in the progress and the well-being of the kids and the horses,” said Rohrer-Collins.

Participating in the clinic will be members of the NEOAHA Youth Group, the “Iron Arabians”. Children enrolled in the Right Lead program will also have an opportunity to participate in ground-work with Tommy Garland.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring an internationally-recognized clinician like Tommy Garland in to teach these deserving junior riders,” said John Hall, president and CEO of Freedom Health. “And we are just as delighted to be able to support worthy programs like Right Lead and the NEOAHA Youth Group, which benefit the next generation of horsemen and women.”
