Sponsored Riders Shine at 2011 World Dressage Masters

SUCCEED® sponsored riders Steffen Peters, Pierre St. Jacques and Liz Austin shone in front of a sold out audience at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center during the World Dressage Masters CDI5* Palm Beach, March 10-11.

Steffen Peters and Ravel Win at World Dressage Masters

Olympic and World Equestrian Games Medalist Steffen Peters, riding Akiko Yamazaki’s 13 year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding Ravel, scored a personal best of 80.872% in the Grand Prix. This was Peters’ highest Grand Prix score of his FEI career to date.

Peters and Ravel continued their dominance of the Masters by winning the Grand Prix Freestyle with 84.550%, the highest score ever awarded at the WDM Palm Beach. “It’s an amazing honor and pleasure to ride such an amazing horse,” said Peters.

Pierre St. Jacques and Lucky Tiger 2nd at WDM

In the Grand Prix Special, Pan Am Games Medalist Pierre St. Jacques, riding his 16 year-old Danish Warmblood gelding Lucky Tiger, was thrilled to place second with 69.417%. “I’m so ecstatic with my horse,” said St. Jacques. “It’s wonderful to ride with this electricity and crowd. My horse showed up for his job today, and he was very fun to ride.” This was St. Jacques second appearance at the World Dressage Masters, following up on his fourth-place finish in the Grand Prix Special in 2010. St. Jacques was an alternate for the US dressage team to the 2010 World Equestrian Games.

Liz Austin and Olivier 4th in WDM Special

Riding in the Grand Prix Special Friday evening was fellow SUCCEED® sponsored rider Liz Austin with her KWPN stallion Olivier who placed fourth with 66.854%. Austin was the individual silver medalist at the 2004 North American Young Riders Championships and competed at the 2010 World Dressage Masters Palm Beach.

SUCCEED would like to congratulate all of their team riders on their successes at the World Dressage Masters. “We are very proud to be associated with such a great group of riders,” said John Hall, CEO of Freedom Health, makers of SUCCEED. “Their consistently outstanding performances in the show ring are only outdone by their character and horsemanship.”
